What better way to start your Friday than with our weekly round-up of the some of the many sweet treats we’ve eaten this week and the last for this year. Here’s five of our favourites. From top left, clockwise:

1. Delicious hot bread pudding served with plenty of cream from Driftwood CafeEmsworth part of The Pavilion at Stansted Park which we reviewed recently.

2. Ah, what can I say about this! Makes my mouth water every time I see this photo. Lightly toasted banana bread topped with vanilla mascarpone, berries and drizzled with honey. From one of my new local favourite coffee shops Southsea Coffee Co here on the South Coast.

3. Another lovely local new tearoom, Gracie-Ann’s in Port Solent. We enjoyed sandwiches and shared carrot cake made by Beceries who supplies the tearoom with tasty cakes.
4. We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Brookfield HotelEmsworth. Dessert was apple tart & custard. We were here with our cycling club where I won the ‘Ladies’ award for “climbing Mt. Ventoux without stopping.”

5. The most amazing meal and service EVER was enjoyed at The Five Fields on the King’s Road, Chelsea, London. We drove all the way up from Portsmouth and back again but it was well worth it. This was my celebratory dessert, Garden Pea and Coconut – Pea and Mint Cassonade, Chocolate Soil and Coconut Sorbet.
