There’s no better way to impress someone this Valentine’s Day than with a box of Charbonnel et Walker chocolates. It’s been a running tradition between me and my boyfriend Sam, that Charbonnel et Walker chocolates mark a special occasion. Sam wooed me with a box of these on our second date and has every Valentine’s Day since. This year, Charbonnel have extended their offering with a number of great gift boxes filled with delicious chocolates.
The type of chocolate received is down to personal preference and for me this pink heart-shaped box of pink Marc de Champagne truffles is my favourite. The heart-shaped box is guaranteed to create that all important “wow factor” when received and when eaten, the chocolates won’t be the only thing to melt. The heart-shaped boxes are available in three sizes priced between £3.85 and £28. The pink hearts contain pink Marc de Champagne truffles, the dark red hearts contain Charbonnel’s finest handcrafted dark chocolates and the red hearts contain a selection of luxury milk chocolates. I’ve tasted all of Charbonnel’s chocolates (a personal achievement of mine!) and I can honestly say they are some of the best around. I’ve previously reviewed my favourites.
For those a little shy or who prefer to stay clear of the traditional red hearts and roses, Charbonnel also offer a floral patterned heart filled with a selection of fine milk and dark chocolates, which I find particularly pretty. This cute Union Jack print heart filled with milk Marc de Champagne truffles is perfect for those looking for something a little different and would be a great little gift to give a chocolate-loving man (surprisingly, there are quite a few out there!).
Sometimes heart-shaped gifts are a little too much, especially when you’ve only been dating a short while. I know I would be a little taken back by the notion of love on a second or third date! For those in this position I would recommend a circular box of chocolates which come filled with one of Charbonnel’s best-selling truffles.
Charbonnel’s Valentine’s selection is really quite something. Not only are these chocolates some of the best I have ever tasted, I am particularly fond of the fact that there are so many options to choose from, in terms of gift boxes and the chocolates they contain. If your partner is particularly picky then I suggest going in to one of Charbonnel’s UK stores and hand picking the chocolates yourself. If they’re like me and enjoy the majority of chocolate flavours, you can order through Charbonnel’s online store. Happy Valentine’s Day to you all.
